The historical backdrop – ingolstadt’s inner city is characterised by it’s historical intact facades. With the redesign of the pedestrian zone this unique feature shall be emphasized and dominate the design of the surface of the new city’s pavement. Window reveals will be translated into the surface design with large format anchor plates in a 1:1 scale. like a carpet the city pavement stretches barrier free from facade to facade and provides a broad flexibility of usage.
