the main approach of our design was the city\'s resilient return to the Neckar, respecting the conditions of each waterfront. In contrast to the old river bank with wilhelma and a fastened bank edge, the young water front at Bad Cannstatt is provided with a city beach and is frequented by a young public. In a dual system the river banks of the suburb of Neckar and bad cannstadt they complement each other in terms of function and atmosphere. While the eastern bank appears with soft and round forms the old river bank shows a strict and regulated style.
